“This is the best satire song chosen by UNESCO, WHO, WTO, and NASA,” is how comedy triad Aisi Taisi Democracy presented their new song to the world and it’s definitely what you should listen to next!

Aptly titled “The History Song”, Rahul Ram, Varun Grover and Sanjay Rajoura managed to hit the nail on the head with their punchy lyrics at the state of the political discourse in the country right now.

“Jo na apna agenda hai,
Usko mitwa denge
Jo Padma se pangey lega toh
Bhansali ko pelenge
Hum history se khelenge...

These are the catchy lyrics with which the group tries to make light of the very deliberate re-writing of history we see around us today.

The tongue-in-cheek video didn’t spare anyone, from the RSS and BJP to the Karni Sena. Hopefully the video will not be lost on people and it will help us see how senseless politicians and “social activists” are acting to cater to their own interests.

“Isme toh woh hi jeeta hai
Jo zada ucha cheekha hai”

Over the past few years, Aisi Taisi Democracy has released equally catchy songs on other issues.

With Rahul Ram singing about cow protection in ‘The Gaiyya Song’ and the trio even jamming about the overall abundance of discord in India (the ‘Anshan Tension’ song), they have many hits under their belt. However, without a doubt their most popular number is the satirical song ‘Modi ji Modi Ji – An Ode to Demonetisation’.
