What would you want to ask the bestselling author of a raunchy sexually explicit novel – possibly THE erotic novel of the decade?

The publicity team of E L James – who wrote the wildly popular ‘Fifty Shades’ series – recently hosted a Q & A with her on Twitter.

Now, the twitterati’s never been one to back down from an open challenge such as this one – particularly when faced with an author that’s spoken so eloquently of women submitting to whippings in bed. And more of that sort of thing.

Needless to say, James’ reputation took quite a beating – possibly one that would make even Christian Grey blush.

Let’s be fair, the Fifty Shades series did massively well throughout the globe – the books selling like hot cakes. The fact that it had a movie based on it (released this year) only helped cement its place in women’s erotica – which probably doesn’t get as much attention as it merits.

EL James’ writing abilities, however? Now that’s still a relatively ‘grey’ area.

Suffice to say, the author witnessed a larger cache of abuse than she’s ever written about. Let’s just hope it doesn’t inspire a spin-off!
