Quirky suits, whimsical music with a hint of nostalgia, and dreamy video sequences are some of the things that are associated with the Kolkata dream-pop music duo, Parekh & Singh.
The duo rose to fame with their hit single I Love You Baby, I Love You Doll, which continues to be a crowd favourite.
Taking inspiration the poetry of William Blake, the cinematography of Wes Anderson, Woody Allen, and Stanley Kubrick, and their hometown, Kolkata, Jivraj Singh and Nischay Parekh have shaped both their music and their signature style.
The Quint met the duo while they were on their Monsoon Tour of India to talk about their sense of home, the genre of dream pop, their style, and their new album.
