For all those young millennials who feel too lazy to go vote, know that there is a 103-year-old woman who will, and if that doesn’t motivate you enough, we don't know what will!
Swarnambal Krishnaswamy, who celebrated her 103rd birthday last week, cast her vote at Chembur’s St Gregorious High School polling station in Mumbai on Monday 29th April, reported Mumbai Mirror.
Swarnambal has not missed a single opportunity to vote since independence. Talk about being a politically responsible citizen!

Braving the April heat, many senior citizens came to cast their votes. Among those was also Vithabai Damodar Patil, another centenarian who exercised her franchise at a polling booth in Kopri village, which is part of the Thane Lok Sabha constituency.
Vithabai told reporters after coming out of the polling station that she voted for a "good" candidate who would keep in mind the development of their village.
Mumbai Mirror also reported how the polling stations weren’t all that senior-citizen friendly as some failed to provide wheelchairs to the elderly. Some senior citizens who had come for voting at Jamnabai centre in North West constituency could not find a wheelchair for over half an hour.
However what’s commendable is despite the heat or the lack of facilities they came to vote and set an example for the youth. So for those who’re making excuses to go and vote, here’s your “shame shame” moment!
