Indian women’s cricket team’s captain Mithali Raj has rarely been in the news for her cricketing abilities. She might be the highest run-getter in women’s ODI cricket history, but, for our moral custodian keyboard nationalists, she is only an object for up for grabs.
Raj tweeted a picture with her gal-pals looking absolutely fabulous in a black spaghetti top.
Little did she know that the very shoulders that help her bat her country to glory in matches are the ones certain Tweeple find super offensive. Offensive enough to take time out of their busy days and type their displeasure.
Taking a Stand Against Shoulders
A Handful of Supporters
This isn’t the first time that Raj has been trolled. The last time she was at the receiving end of this kind of moralising was when they set eyes on a picture of her when she happened to have visible sweat patches. So women, don’t wear sleeveless clothes, but also make sure you don’t sweat when wearing ones that cover your armpits. Or better yet, just don’t exist at all!
Quint Neon gives you a big, big salaam Mithali.
