The nation has been in mourning for the past couple of weeks, as the news about Kathua and Unnao brought the common citizen to the streets.

While protest marches were organised across the country, social media expressed its anger, outrage and grief at the rape and murder of the 8-year-old girl in Kathua and the alleged rape of a 16-year-old girl in Unnao.
