How long has it been since we saw Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg surrounded by Senators trying to justify how he keeps data safe at the headquarters?
But voila!
Mark has announced that Facebook will soon have its own ‘dating’ feature.
Soon after the announcement, Match Inc, Tinder’s parent company’s shares dropped by 17 percent. And Facebook basically told Tinder and the others...
FB’s Matchmaking Is Better Than Tinder’s?
It will take a few months for Facebook to roll out the new dating feature, but we got no chill. So we ventured out on the streets of Delhi and asked some people if they will ditch Tinder, Hinge, Bumble, Truly Madly and the likes for Facebook’s dating feature.
Some told us that it’s an exciting news and Facebook’s engineering can be trusted more than any other dating app’s but the others said they’ll pass because hey, logon ko pata chal gaya toh kya hoga?
Delhiites on FB Dating
Facebook has a bigger database so it’s likely that they might give better recommendations. I would trust Facebook’s engineering more than Tinder’s. Anyway, Tinder relies on Facebook for data.
I don’t think people will join it because there will be a chance of seeing so many familiar people which will not be very comfortable.
For me, most of my relationships have been with people I have been attracted to on meeting in person. So, I don’t think I will ever join Facebook’s dating feature.
Dear Zuck Bhaiyaa...
We asked Delhiites to give Mark Zuckerberg a message in order to improve his dating app and here’s what they told us:
Dear Zuck Bhaiya, please stop stealing more data through this dating feature.
Hey Zuckerberg, please make sure that there’s a feature where I can hide this dating feature from the people in my close circle. Make sure that there’s a filter where you can specify if you want a one-night stand or long-term relationship.
Dear Zuck Bhaiya, please make sure there is an option to block those creepy guys out from my profile because Delhi has a lot of f**kboys.
Tinder’s Hook-Ups or Facebook’s Commitment?
This is going to be for building real, long-term relationships, not just hook-ups.Mark Zuckerberg
With this dating app, Facebook will aim at to popularise its app amongst those who are gradually trying to move out of it.
Only time will tell, or get ready to date on Insta too...
