Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s recent activism against garbage on the streets of Mumbai has social media divided over the fact whether they should have showed the man’s face or not in the video, where she is seen yelling at him. The video is recorded by Virat while Anushka does the talking (or yelling you could say).
Here’s a glimpse of how social media reacted to the incident.
The man recognized as Arhhan Singh is a resident of mumbai who also took to social media where he did ‘NOT’ apologise but fired back at the star couple for their approach towards him. Since then, he has received a lot of hate from Virushka fans on social media. What he clearly does not understand is the fact that nobody is on his side. The argument is about his face showing and a little politeness from the couple
Arhhan refers to the incident in his Facebook post as “The garbage that mistakenly went out of the window of my luxury car”. Yes he actually said “mistakenly”! He also calls Anushka a ‘crazy roadside person’.
Arrhan’s mother Gittanjali Singh takes it to another level where she calls this act of Virushka a ‘cheap stunt’. She blames the couple for defaming her son.
Littering on the streets is punishable by law in India! At least on paper and as citizens, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have taken a great initiative to promote a cleaner India. Their approach is though at question. The issue was never about personal lives but now it has become about Arrhan’s privacy and the lack of politeness on Virushka’s part. The issue of garbage is still at large.
