NBC Saves the Day, Rescues ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’

While Fox Entertainment’s announcement of scrapping popular sitcom, ‘Brooklyn Nine -Nine’ left fans broken-hearted, NBC has come to the their rescue.

Fans lamenting all over the world over Fox’s decision to end the US Police-based sitcom, took to social media to express their disappointment, prompting NBC to step in and save the day.

Ever since we sold this show to Fox I’ve regretted letting it get away, and it’s high time it came back to its rightful home. We’re all thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and best cast comedies in a long time will take its place in our comedy line-up.

As the news of cancelling the cult comedy went public, fans started pleading other networks to save the show using the #SaveB99 hashtag and and are now ecstatic as their favourite show will finally come back for the sixth season.

Dan Goor, co-creator of Brooklyn Nine Nine, announced on Twitter that the show has been picked up by NBC, which helped fans breathe a sigh of relief.

The show boasting a powerhouse cast, starring popular comedians Chelsea Peretti and Andy Samberg, is a comedy that addresses real issues like discrimination in the New York Police Department, amongst other things.

Social media is flooded with memes and GIFs as fans rejoice.

The show has a stellar 8.7 IMDB rating and was first released in September 2013.
