Dear Soldier,
You are among the bravest and the most trained army in the world. You inspire millions of youth in our country. You are always there to protect us during natural disasters and other calamities. Your dedication and love for the country is incomparable. But I really want to point out some problems the Indian Army has been facing in the recent years. This upsets me greatly.
Some irrelevant statements have been made using the name of the Indian Army.
1) Baba Ramdev said, “During war, our soldiers fight without eating for 7-8 days; can't we do the same for our nation?” during demonetisation in 2016.
2) Former defence minister Manohar Parrikar remarked, “Part of the credit for surgical strike should go to RSS teaching.”
3) Mohan Bhagwat said, “Sangh will prepare military personnel within three days which the army would do in six-seven months. This is our capability.”
We are very sorry and unhappy with such situations. My Sandesh to a Soldier is: Never let any politically powerful person use you for their political benefit.
Lastly, I would like to thank all of you for your love and sacrifice for our country.
Jai Jawan.
