Counting of votes for the 40-member Mizoram Assembly is almost done where the Mizo National Front (MNF) has clinched the majority with 26 seats.
I was present at the MNF Headquarters at Aizawl as the results were being declared. This election has certainly turned the tables for both the Congress as well as the MNF.
I saw people holding banners and placards that read, ‘Mizoram is our land, ‘Lord is our strength and our song’.
I managed to capture the people of Mizoram celebrating MNF’s historic win as well as the defeat of Lal Thanhawla, who lost in pursuit of a third term as the chief minister.
