Parthasarathy Rocks

Who wouldn’t want to watch the sun set from atop mountain rocks, as sounds of birds and animals interrupt the quiet? After a long and hectic day, if you look for peace, you must visit Parthasarathy Rocks.

They are located inside the compound of the Jawaharlal Nehru University and are relatively unknown. It is open for JNU students and outsiders as well, provided they know someone at JNU.

Indian Mountaineering Foundation

Located at Benito Juarez Marg, the artificial rock-climbing wall of the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) is a great place to sweat out your stress. Adrenaline junkies can test their skills here. It is an International Standard Artificial Wall Climbing Wall and hosts many state and national level competitions.

Whoever heard of “With great money comes great food”? Not Delhiites.
Delhi offers some mouth-watering yet inexpensive food which you cannot say no to.

Champa Gali

A hidden gem, Champa Gali is nestled in a lesser-known part of Saket. As its name suggests, it’s a gali (a narrow lane) punctuated by all kinds of eateries, handmade-art stores, design studios...

It is still not so known about but those who have dropped by to see it’s beauty can’t seem to stay away for long.

Majnu Ka Tila

Okay, momo lovers, if you want a taste of real momos, Majnu ka Tilla is the place for you. It is located in New Aruna Nagar and comprises of narrow lanes decorated with prayer flags. It is a Tibetan refugee colony; and you can delve into a different culture and cuisine at MKT. Interestingly enough, every guest house in the colony is named after the family or monastery which runs it.

Shahpur Jat

As soon as the wedding season arrives, streets of Shahpur Jat get jam-packed. Because of its number of boutiques and designer showrooms, Shahpur Jat has become a home for brides-to-be. Sarojini ad Lajpat markets aside for once, Shahpur Jat has the best high-end designer clothing and customised outfits.

Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary

For wildlife enthusiasts, Asola Bhatti Wildlife and Bird Sanctuary near Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range on Surajkund Road, is a treasure trove.

The Conservation Education Centre (CEC) inside the sanctuary organises walks and expeditions for people in Asola and other biodiversity-rich spots in Delhi every week.
