The holy month of Ramzan or Ramadan has begun. It is of great significance for the Islamic community across the world. Ramadan, which lasts a whole moon cycle, is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar.

Muslims across the world and in India have started preparing for how they should go about praying, and fasting while maintaining social distancing due to the COVID-19 threat. Widespread rules have been imposed banning praying in mosques or meeting relatives and friends for large "iftar" meals at dusk -- a centrepiece of the month-long fast.

“Sehri” is the first meal of the day during Ramzan and after the fast is conclude, they have an evening meal called “iftar”.
