Can an underboob threaten feminism? Apparently yes, going by all the furore around Emma Watson's breasts. Watson is being criticised for showing off her boobs in a photo shoot for Vanity Fair (insert expressions for bewilderment) while she claims she is a feminist.
The image from the shoot, photographed by Tim Walker, has Emma posing in a crochet white top that reveals part of her cleavage.
Emma Watson has hit back at critics who claimed her recent photo shoot betrayed her feminist ideals.
The 26-year-old Watson has said that the controversy represented "a fundamental and complete misunderstanding of what feminism is." She says, "Feminism is about equality and it's about choice." She adds: "Feminism is not a stick with which to beat other women."
Meanwhile, closer home, Sonam Kapoor was shamed by many for wearing a jumpsuit that again showed her b**bs.
Sonam's response: I felt hot as f*ck! The photographers went out of their way to take these pics... and frankly I don't give a damn, I'm proud of my body!
So here's the thing: You can be a feminist and still show your boobs.
Because women have the freedom to dress whichever the hell way they want to.
