Starting Monday, couture will rule the capital as the fashion industry gets set to kickstart the seven-day long India Couture Week that will be held between 24 and 30 July.
Couturiers Anamika Khanna and Rohit Bal will be the opening designers for the India Couture Week 2017, FDCI has announced. Both will showcase at offsite locations on 24 July.
While Anamika Khanna will be unveiling her collection, Luxury 2017, at The Kila, Mehrauli, Rohit Bal will showcase his designs at Bikaner House.
Bal’s collection, called Khush Posh, aims at reviving heritage pieces from costume collections of royal Mughals which have been immortalised in museums. The collection highlights an amalgamation of traditional craft with modern sensibilities preserving its timeless beauty.
