A media start-up — with investment of Rs 50,000 — became a huge empire in 20 years with a market value of 1 billion dollars.

That’s the story of Network 18.

As the company grew, so did their team members. Several young journalists spent memorable years of their lives working together in a robust newsroom, creating news that mattered.

After the much talked about takeover of Network 18 by Reliance in 2014, the CNN-IBN newsroom saw a lot of movement. Some old faces moved on. Some new faces took over. But the bond Network 18 created remained intact.

With the social media release of Indira Kannan’s book Network 18: The Audacious Story of a Start-up That Became a Media Empire on Tuesday evening, several ex-employees remembered the good old days. Take a look.
