The Border Security Force has dismissed the allegations levelled by jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav’s wife that the constable has been missing since his video went viral.

In a post on Facebook on 10 January, Yadav’s wife said that the jawan had been untraceable after his video sparked a row.

"I haven't spoken to my husband since yesterday evening," she wrote Hindi, "and we have no idea where he is or how he is doing."

In response, the BSF said that Yadav was posted in a battalion HQ in Jammu and was free to contact his family.

In the video, Yadav, who belongs to the 29 BN BSF Battalion, says the government provides the army with ample food and resources. But senior officers sell them off and barely give anything to the soldiers. Addressing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he asks for a probe into this alleged scam.
