In another brutal attack by heavily-armed terrorists on an Indian army unit in Nagrota, near Jammu, two army officers and five jawans were martyred. Three terrorists were killed after engaging in an intense gun battle while 16 people (12 soldiers, two women and two children) were rescued by the army after by being held captive.
This is the second biggest terror strike on an army base after the 18 September Uri incident during which 19 soldiers were slain. The Indian Army had then carried out successful surgical strikes which demolished terror launch pads across the LoC.
The move was hailed as a befitting reply to Pakistan.
In the wake of Nargota attacks, the social media has, once again, turned into a battlefield with visibly infuriated netizens questioning Pakistan’s “old games” while some demanded “crushing” the terrorists relentlessly.
