The number of violent crimes in Delhi has gone up by significant number as well.

Of the 570 murders in Delhi in 2015, about 85 percent were personal in nature, and 55 were committed using illegal firearms. Most victims were in the 18-60 age group.

In comparison with maximum city Mumbai, there are far more criminal cases in Delhi.

Delhi also leads in the number of kidnappings and abductions in cities across India with 6,630 cases in 2015, even though there isn’t a huge increase in the number. Uttar Pradesh had the highest number of kidnapping cases in the state-wise ranking with almost 12,000 reported cases.
