JNU students have been booked for sedition after the administration of the university ordered a “disciplinary” enquiry into holding of a pro-Afzal Guru event on campus, as per media reports. A case has been registered in Vasant Kunj police station against unknown people for anti-national activities.

The event, organised against the hanging of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru, went on despite cancellation of permission, on Monday.

BJP MP Maheish Girri too wrote to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and HRD minister Smriti Irani in this context.

Girri tweeted about the filing of the FIR in Hauz Khas police station.

He asked the Delhi police to lodge the FIR against the JNU students.
