Only Those Who Deal in Money Can Say Money Changed Hands : CM Parrikar

Adding to the war of words between the Congress and the BJP, Goa’s new Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar rubbished allegations of using money to win votes in the state’s assembly elections. He asserted:

Only those who deal in money can say money changed hands. I have done nothing wrong... Last time too, BJP formed a coalition government. No reason now for it to be termed wrong.

He also added:

It’s not a BJP government, but a coalition government headed by BJP.

Swearing-in is a ministerial act, and is of no constitutional significance. It wIll be nullified in a floor test in 48 hours...So if you want to be a ‘do din ka sultan’, then you are welcome to do so.

No MLA Wants To Support the Congress, Says CM Parrikar

Defending the Bharatiya Janata Party’s post poll alliance in Goa, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar claimed that “ the support extended to BJP to form government in Goa is only for Goa's development.”

Rejecting the Congress’ allegations, he added:

If you had the support, then why did you not go to the Governor? No MLA wants to support the Congress...I agree the mandate is fractured, but with 22 MLAs together, the vote share is more than sufficient. Its post poll alliance.
