In a horrific incident, a Pakistani woman's eyes were gouged out by her brothers, and was followed by cutting off her feet. The incident occurred in Pakistan's Punjab province. The woman was suspected to have been involved in the disappearance of the daughter of one of these men.
According to PTI, the brothers allegedly kidnapped her on Tuesday from Muzaffarghar, 400 km away from Lahore. They then used a sharp knife to gouge out her eyes and cut off her limbs.
Now in a critical condition, the woman has been shifted to Nishtar Hospital in Multan.
The police in their statement have revealed that an FIR had been filed before by one of her brothers claiming that the woman had been responsible for his daughter’s disappearance.
The woman, who is in her 40s, has a daughter who told the Express Tribune that her mother had been subjected to this horrendous crime by her uncles because they believed that she had been involved in kidnapping.
Even though a case has been registered, the police have said that no arrests have been made so far.
