While Webair only had minor injuries, his mother suffered from serious head injuries but remained untreated for hours. She was taken to a hospital and later transferred to a hospital in London where she was declared unresponsive but was able to feel pain.

She was then brought back to Al Ain, a city in UAE.

She was given medical treatment and kept alive, she was fed through a tube and underwent regular physiotherapy to keep her muscles from weakening due to lack of movement. All of this for 27 years.

She also underwent various surgeries to correct the shortening in her arm and leg muscles. In 2017, she was transferred to a hospital in Germany after the family received a grant from the Crown Prince Court.

IN 2018, Webair got into an argument in Munira Abdulla’s room, when his mother sensed this she showed signs of wakefulness and activity. Three days later, Webair woke up to the sound of his mother calling his name.

Abdulla is now making a miraculous recovery after almost 27 years in coma. She is now back in UAE and is undergoing physiotherapy to improve posture and muscle movement. Webair wanted to share his mother’s story in order to encourage people to not give up on their loved ones when they are in such a state.
