Prime Minister Narendra Modi has joined the list of Bollywood celebrities and politicians in doing his bit for the #HumFitTohIndiaFit challenge.
The video was tweeted out by the prime minister on Wednesday morning, and it shows him walking across obstacles, doing breathing exercises and performing some Yoga asanas.
“I walk on a track inspired by the Panchtatvas or 5 elements of nature - Prithvi, Jal, Agni, Vayu, Aakash. This is extremely refreshing and rejuvenating”, said PM Modi of his morning routine which includes earth, water, fire, air and sky, according to him.
He had been challenged to this by Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, one of the first few names to join the challenge.
The PM responded with the promise of his own video.
Kumaraswamy Rejects PM Modi’s Challenge
However, not all’s well in the Yoga paradise. A little later on Wednesday, Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy the Prime Minister’s #HumFitTohIndiaFit challenge. The CM added that he was more concerned about the development of his state than his physical fitness. In his tweet, he thanked Modi for his concern and sought his support for Karnataka’s development instead.
Kumaraswamy also added yoga and treadmill were a part of his daily workout regime.
#HumFitTohIndiaFit - The Beginning
The challenge was kickstarted by sports minister Rajyavardhan Rathore who tweeted out a video of smoothly jumping into push-ups (assumably in an office) while dressed in formal clothes.
As the union minister completed his routine with ease, he nominated more famous names to the challenge and voila!
Here we are now, watching PM Modi going about his morning routine and sharing it with the country.
