Veteran musician Mick Jagger has made a comeback to touring two months after he underwent heart surgery.
The Rolling Stones was forced to cancel some of their upcoming shows in North America due to their frontman's health concerns.
The singer posted a picture on Instagram after the band kickstarted their No Filter Tour at Chicago's Soldier Field on 21 June.
A second show is scheduled for 25 June.
"Thank you for a great opening show Chicago!" Jagger captioned his photograph from the concert. In the picture he can be seen dressed in monochrome and enjoying his time on the stage.
Before the gig, the 75-year-old rocker had shared a photo from the practice session at the concert venue.
''Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow! #stonesnofilter'' he wrote.
Mick Jagger had undergone a “non-invasive heart valve procedure” in April 2019.
A heart valve replacement surgery is performed when any of the four heart valves don’t function the way they should. The valves lie at the exit point of the four chambers in the heart and ensure that the blood flows in one direction and there is no backward flow.
A damaged or a malfunctioning heart valve can either be treated with medications or surgeries. As per WebMD, “valves can be repaired or replaced with traditional heart valve surgery or a minimally invasive heart valve surgery.”
