Everybody is talking about Zhu Zhu, the actress who will be Salman Khan’s love interest in Kabir Khan’s Tubelight. So I did what I do best (stalking people) and here are a few things I found about Ms Zhu Zhu.
‘Zhu Zhu’ Means...
First for all those people who are finding it difficult to pronounce her name here is how you say it - it’s pronounced as ‘Jhu Jhu’ and not ‘Zoo Zoo’. The first Zhu is her family name which means red and the second Zhu is her first name which means pearl. And by now if you are too confused just remember her name means – Red Pearl.
She Is a Singer
Zhu Zhu actually won a local singing competition in Beijing and later went on to bag the third place at the national level, which was her first claim to fame. She also hosted music programs on China’s domestic MTV network. She also learned to play a piano when she was just 3-years-old!
She’s In an American TV Series
What Priyanka Chopra is to India, Zhu Zhu is to China. Don’t get it? This Chinese singer and actress has also bagged a lead role in the American TV-series Marco Polo. Oh, by the way, she is also managed my the same agency that manages Priyanaka Chopra’s international work.
She Loves Horse Riding
Just like Salman, Zhu Zhu also loves riding horses. Apparently the actress learnt riding as a child but eventually stopped but while training for Marco Polo she rediscovered her love for riding.
She Played a Character in the Chinese Kung Fu Panda 3
Guess which character she played in the Chinese version of Kung Fu Pada 3? She was the smart and swift master Viper (the snake).
Her Indian Connect: Mr Ganesha
Zhu Zhu has Ganesh ji with her as her guardian angel. How sweet is that!
