Director Rohit Shetty's hit comedy franchise, Golmaal, has been adapted into an animated series, and is all set to air on the kids’ entertainment channel Sonic in May.

Titled Golmaal Junior, the animated version of the film will give a kiddie twist to the five primary characters of the films, which include Gopal (Ajay Devgn), Laxman 1 (Shreyas Talpade) Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor), Laxman 2 (Kunal Khemmu) and Madhav (Arshad Warsi).

Taking off from the plot of Golmaal’s film universe, the animated show will be based on two naughty rival prank groups (Gopal, Laxman and Lucky vs Laxman 2 and Madhav) who fight against each other in a comic way.

‘Golmaal Junior’ is produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez and Reliance Animation.
