Stand-up comedian Raju Shrivastva has hopped on to The Kapil Sharma Show bandwagon to replace Sunil Grover, after their public spat.
I don’t like it when people say I’ve replaced Sunil. I don’t think any of us can replace one another. We all have our place. Sunil is an old friend, and so is Kapil. I was hoping to bring about a reconciliation between the two. I did call up Sunil a number of times. He said he was out of town and would get back to me as soon as he returned.Raju Srivastava, Comedian
Raju feels that the incident which happened midair has left a bitter taste in the mouth.
I really don’t know what happened. But when people hear about their favourite comic actor getting drunk, misbehaving… the wrong signal is sent out. People lose faith in the power of comedy to heal and bring happiness.Raju Srivastava

Raju feels a show like The Kapil Sharma Show, should not be trifled with.
It’s a big responsibility and you cannot shrug off your responsibility. When a comedian or a comedy show does well, the entire comic fraternity benefits. When Salman Khan charges Rs 50 Crore, only then can Ajay Devgan charge Rs 20 Crore. But if Salman charges 20 (Crore), what would Ajay get?Raju Srivastava
Raju feels that events in the comedy world have a snowballing effect.
It’s like we are all connected and we all have our place. When Kapil asked me to join him I wondered if it was right to do so. All I wanted to do was to bring about a patch-up between Kapil and Sunil. Now I find myself in the show. I can’t say what will happen in the future.Raju Srivastava
So far Raju has recorded for three episodes of The Kapil Sharma Show and says that he has had a lot of fun shooting them.
Kapil has always been very warm and polite with me. Whatever happened with Sunil and the others should not have happened. I believe there were two other similar incidents previously. Iss baar thoda zyada ho gaya.Raju Srivastava
Raju feels he is in a precarious situation.
Sunil and others are not coming to the show. Even Sidhu ji is finding it hard to maintain his schedules on the show. But we’ll manage.Raju Srivastava
