Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma will soon be back on television. He is working on a comedy show for Sony TV that will launch around Diwali.
According to a report by Indian Express, Kapil, who’s currently travelling, would be back in Mumbai in September and start working on the project. The makers are still deciding on whether it would be a new show or the next season of the very popular The Kapil Sharma Show. The rest of the team hasn’t been finalised yet.
Kapil is reportedly excited about making a comeback with a quality comedy show and Sony TV seems eager to back him.
We are definitely in talks with him (Kapil). He is a hard-working artiste. Sony would be more than happy to have him back.”Danish Khan, Sony TV’s EVP and Business Head
Kapil Sharma took a break after his show, Family Time With Kapil Sharma, was scrapped after only three episodes. This was accompanied by health issues, meltdowns on social media and with journalists, and rather public spats with colleagues. One hopes the comedian-actor is recovering and back to work soon.
