These are bad times for Thronies. Game of Thrones Season 7 has ended, and the next season (unless leaked) will most likely be aired only in 2019!

While the cast and crew of the TV series are busy promoting and working on upcoming projects, fans are still busy looking for an alternative to eliminate their Monday Blues! Here’s some totally real footage of a fan, when told that final season of the show may not be out till 2019, and that too with 6 episodes only. But they just could not take it:

But though the wait may be dark and full of terrors, that doesn’t mean you can’t get your fix of your favourite actors. But what are the upcoming projects for GoT characters? Let's take a look.

Tyrion Lannister – Peter Dinklage

Youngest son of the dearly deceased Lord Tywin Lannister, and among the most influential of the characters in Game of Thrones. Famous for his short quotes and hefty dialogues, Tyrion will always be remembered for his amazing self-awareness – “I drink and I know things.”

A break from Game of Thrones until 2019 means the American actor and producer will be seen playing the lead role in yet another HBO biopic, inspired from life of actor Hervé Villechaize. He is also set to appear in The Billboards Of Outside Ebbing, Missouri and Three Christs releasing in 2017. His reply on what more is on the list:

Daenerys Targaryen – Emilia Clarke

Just one ‘Dracarys’ and she has us bending the knee. ‘Dany’ rides on dragons and spits fire all over on the battlefield. Fans say Season 7 of GoT will be remembered for the unleashing of the Mother of Dragons in battle, in all her glory.

Now also associated with the Star Wars series, Emilia is said to be playing the female lead in the upcoming untitled Han Solo film. Emilia will also be seen opposite Helena Bonham Carter in The Guns of August, and opposite Jack Huston in Above Suspicion . Be sure not to doubt her prowess, or you’ll be on the receiving end of this:

Jon Snow – Kit Harington

Jon, long considered to ‘know nothing’, looks like he knows a thing or two as the Season 7 of GoT ends, as Daenerys will no doubt confirm.

Harington is playing the lead role in BBC’s historical miniseries, Gunpowder, based on the true story of the plot to blow up the British Parliament by 17th century revolutionary (and his real-life ancestor!) Robert Catesby.

The show also stars GoT and Sherlock star Mark Gatiss, along with Liv Tyler and Peter Mullan. The ‘King in the North’ will also be seen on the big screen in The Death and Life of John F Donovan alongside Jessica Chastain, set to release in Italy on 18 January 2018.

Looks like a busy schedule ahead, with no time for rest. Of course, all those fans of ‘Aegon Targaryen’, who thought he would be away until 2019, should have expected this from the man:

Arya Stark – Maisie Williams

The younger of the Stark daughters, Arya has put her survival skills to use as she goes from strength to strength and vengeful killing to vengeful killing.

Maisie, who has already been critically acclaimed for her performance in GoT and BBC’s Doctor Who, will be Wolfsbane in the superhero movie New Mutants releasing in 2018. How does it feel to kill Lord Baelish, being ‘no one’ and playing a superhero, all at the age of 20? Slaying it!

Cersei Lannister – Lena Headey

As ‘King’s Landing’ faces hatred from all corners, Cersei stands alone to fight back and hold on to the Iron Throne. After selling out her villa in LA for $2.05 Million, where does ‘Sarah Connor’, ‘the Queen of Sparta’ head next?

Headey plays the mother of WWE wrestler Paige in upcoming drama Fighting With The Family and will be seen in The Flood, an upcoming drama in which she portrays an immigration officer charged with determining the fate of asylum seekers entering the UK, both releasing in 2018. Well that’s it?

Jaime Lannister – Nikolaj Coster-Waldau

Ser Jaime’s “I don’t believe you” to his sister could have gone down very badly for him in the Season 7 finale, but this has been a season of close shaves for the man with a ‘golden hand’. It’s a dramatic step for Jaime to leave his sister, and everyone’s curious about how he’ll do in Season 8 without her. But Coster seems to be the least worried as he is already associated with an ongoing TV series The Simpsons, where he will appear in an episode titled ‘The Serfsons’.

Nikolaj will be seen in a thriller by Scarface director Brian De Palma, alongside Christina Hendricks in Domino releasing in 2018. The actor can currently be seen in the Netflix original drama Small Crimes, as well as an upcoming crime drama film called Shot Caller that hits the theatres soon.

But if you were to ask him which one of them is the most thrilling of all? Well, obviously.

Game of Thrones has no doubt become ‘THE TV Series’ for millennials who’ve grown with the characters over the last seven years. Some characters, who started with a negative role, have landed on the opposite side by the end of Season 7, notably Ser Jaime and Sophie Turner’s Sansa Stark. It’s going to be a long wait for Season 8, whether released in 2019 or late 2018 (unless leaked). But the appearance of the stars on big screens, TV shows and short series will surely keep the fans engaged.
