The nominations for the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards have been announced on Tuesday. Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), and Robin Wright (House of Cards), Viola Davis (How To Get Away With Murder) are all nominated for Lead Actress in a Drama Series, while Jason Bateman (Ozark), Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us), and Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) are nominated for Lead Actors. Maisie Williams has been nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for the immensely popular Game of Thrones.
GOT already holds the record as the most Emmy-winning primetime series in history with 42.
Outstanding comedy series nominees include Fleabag, The Good Place, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and outstanding drama series include Better Call Saul, Game of Thrones, and Pose, among others.
From Viola Davis to Maisie Williams, celebrities fell short of words for being nominated for the coveted awards. “Very Grateful”, wrote Viola.
