It seems like the makers of HBO’s hit fantasy series Game of Thrones cannot catch a break. The latest goof up on the show that has been spotted by eagle-eyed viewers is a modern plastic bottle of water in the background of one of the scenes in the latest (and last) episode The Iron Throne.

The moment occurs late in season 8 episode 6, when Tyrion is brought in front of a council who will judge him for his treason to Queen Daenerys. Behind Samwell Tarly’s boot, just under his chair, is a bottle of water. The bottle is not easy to see and takes some zooming in to spot, as you can see in the videos below.

Hours later some fans noticed another bottle peeking from behind Ser Davos’ legs in the same sequence involving Tyrion’s trial.

We went back to scene and double-checked. And there it was!

It looks like the show has gotten into another controversy.

The bottle comes on the heels of a Starbucks cup being spotted in episode 4 of this season, which gave rise to a ton of jokes and memes. HBO even went ahead and digitally erased the cup from its streaming platforms but the internet never forgets.

Whether the channel will do something for the bottle, we’ll have to wait and see.
