Film: Tiger Zinda Hai
Director: Ali Abbas Zafar

Bhai is here and his bhakts can officially go crazy!
In Tiger Zinda Hai (TZH), Salman – aka RAW agent Tiger – is on a mission to save 25 Indian and 15 Pakistani nurses stuck in Iraq. Now, there are films, and then there are Salman Khan films. We go to watch his films with our checklist ready, and this latest instalment helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar ticks all the boxes.
It has Bhai in every frame – the mard jisko dard nahi hota with the most implausible of action sequences choreographed with unbelievable swag. The film has precious little to do with logic but TZH is fun.
Tiger Zinda Hai is better than Ek Tha Tiger. And if no one else, at least the die-hard Salman loyalists will not complain.
Tiger is projected as the only one who can successfully complete the mission. And somehow, given Salman’s swashbuckling largess, it also strangely works.
Like where else can a RAW agent have “tu tu tara” as his secret code and still manage to maintain all his dazzling bravado? Lets just say that no one else but Salman could be convincing as the beefed up agent who makes amazing maa ki daal, eats shalgam and tinde in pardes and reads out stories of Indian bravehearts to his son.
He wears his patriotism on his sleeve and still his flamboyance is endearing. Overall, TZH is the kind of film that will make you leave the theatre with a smile. There isn’t anything particularly unique or new. It's Salman all the way in a zippy drama doing what he does best.
I give it 3 Quints out of 5. Go for it. It’s innocuously fun.
