Disney dropped a new teaser and the first poster for their upcoming live-action remake of the 1994 classic The Lion King during Sunday night’s Oscars and it’s bringing back some memories. The new video is pretty similar to the first teaser with a few extra glimpses of the impossibly-cute baby Simba. Take a look.
Here’s the first poster for The Lion King.
The film, produced by Walt Disney Pictures and directed by Jon Favreau, features Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé as Nala, and James Earl Jones reprising his role as Mufasa.
Here’s that earlier trailer again:
The trailer begins with Mufasa aka James Earl Jones’ narration in the background and moves to the iconic shot of Rafiki hoisting Simba for all of the animals in the Pride Lands to see, with the original film’s track, Circle of Life being played in the background.

Here’s the 1994 song, Circle of Life, to take you further down memory lane.
Hans Zimmer will be coming back to give the film its background score while Elton John is set to rework some of his original compositions.
