Move over Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra. The superstar has hit the dance floor!
A video circulated by Rajinikanth’s fan clubs shows the star grooving to ‘Oruvan Oruvan Mudhalali’ from his evergreen hit film Muthu at Soundarya and Vishagan's sangeet ceremony on Saturday. His wife Latha Rajinikanth can be seen cheering him on.
Soundarya Rajinikanth's wedding festivities began with a sumangali pooja and a pre-wedding reception on Friday. It was followed by a mehendi function on Saturday.
Made in Mono, the official photographers for the wedding, shared a picture of the couple with a caption that read, “Happiness, unplugged. The calm before what was one of the most amazing sangeets we could ever imagine shooting. Not every day do you get the superstar @rajinikanth to break a leg on the dance floor.”
Soundarya took to Twitter to share some lovely photos of the “three most important men” in her life. Clad in a beautiful blue lehenga, she shared pictures of her father Rajinikanth, son Ved (from her first husband Ashwin) and to-be husband Vishagan.
There’s another picture from the night that is winning hearts – Rajinikanth sharing an endearing moment with his grandson, Ved, as Vishagan looks on.
The murtham (wedding) is on 11 February from 9 am to 10:30 am at The Leela Palace. This will be followed by a reception and a cocktail party.
A post wedding function will be held at their residence on 12 February.
Soundarya and Vishagan got engaged in a private family ceremony last year.
Rajinikanth has visited several other politicians and actors to invite them personally to his daughter’s wedding. The family is keeping this a low-key affair but a lot of big names are expected to attend the wedding.
