We all love to share our travel pictures and model-actor Sonarika Bhandoria is no different. She recently shared some gorgeous clicks from her travels to Mauritious, where she happened to be shooting for a film. But little did she know that her beachy pics are about to go viral. Why, you may wonder. Well, it’s not everyday that you see an on-screen Parvati transform into an off-screen bikini clad hottie. Sonarika is more popular for her role as goddess Parvati and Adi Shakti in the mythological TV show Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, and it seems her fans turned into trolls with her two-piece transformation.

Body shamers are a nasty lot and Sonarika knows exactly how to deal with them. The 23 year old actress was trolled for wearing a bikini and forced to take down her holiday pics. But she did give it right back with a strongly worded message.

"What will it light up If the morning sun cannot Land upon your skin?"

The TV actress told Hindustan Times that portraying a divine character on screen doesn’t make her any less of a human being.

I thought today’s generation is mature enough to separate an actor’s personal life from her professional life, and they would understand that we also have our own lives. But that did not happen. Just because I am a girl and played a goddess you cannot hide behind your TV screens and write whatever you want to in the name of freedom of expression. They say it’s part and parcel of a celebrity’s life, but there is a limit to everything. I am not god, I have emotions and I do feel bad.

Even though Sonarika temporarily deleted her sunkissed selfies from her Instagram account, she did repost them a little later, showing the trolls and the body shamers that she’s a proud woman and they can’t pull her spirit down.
