Director Bryan Singer has unveiled a giant Egyptian statue for “X-Men: Apocalypse” The photo that Singer shared with the fans on Instagram shows him standing in front of the set.

The director peers up at the statue which appears to be Anubis, the Egyptian god of the afterlife.

“This takes me back to #raidersofthelostark #notallgreenscreen #xmen #xmenapocalypse,” Singer captioned the photo.

“X-Men: Apocalypse” centers on the conflict and war caused by the titular villain after he awakens from his Egyptian tomb.

Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Professor X (James McAvoy) team up with other X-Men members to fight the newly-unleashed enemy.

The movie is slated for a release in US theaters on May 27, 2016.
