1. Raees Meets Sultan: SRK Announces His Bigg Boss Act With Salman
Shah Rukh Khan will be on Bigg Boss to promote his upcoming gangster film Raees. How do we know? Well, Salman Khan just shared a promo on Twitter in which Sultan and Raees talk about their friendship and what’s bringing them together on Bigg Boss. It’s a clever one. Sultan can’t seem to remember SRK’s signature Raees dialogue but he says in his rustic Haryanvi, “Raees ka dialogue sunna chahiye na, to Raees ki zubani. Sultan ko ati hai bas dosti nibhani”. SRK jumps in to say that Raees will be ‘hazir’ on Bigg Boss for this friendship.
Though the promo doesn’t say when the SRK special episode will air or what’s likely to happen in it, but it sure tells us how hunky-dory everything between the Khans is. We’re sure SRK and Salman have more surprises planned till the episode goes on air. Watch this space for all updates on Raees and Bigg Boss.
2. Women Should Be The Most Respected People On The Planet: SRK
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan spoke about the appalling Bangalore mass molestation recently at a charity event, while strongly urging parents to teach their sons how to respect women.
It is completely wrong. I feel mothers and fathers should teach their sons how to respect women. All women as daughters or mothers are close to my heart. It’s high time we realise and make sure that they are the most respected people on the planet. They are god’s creations. Irrespective of their field, they should be respected.Shah Rukh Khan, Actor
SRK spoke to the media on Saturday at the Archana Kochhar Show, where he walked as a showstopper. The charity event was held to raise funds for free heart surgeries for 100 children at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital & Medical Research Institute. Shah Rukh’s Dear Zindagi co-star Alia Bhatt was also present at the event.
Bollywood celebrities like Salim Khan, Shekhar Kapur, Akshay Kumar and Farhan Akhtar had earlier strongly condemned the incident that took place during New Year celebrations in Bengaluru.
3. In Pics: A Radiant Kareena Enjoys a Lunch Date With Her Besties
Kareena Kapoor has no signs of the ‘new-mommy blues’. Sleepless nights and exhausting motherhood don’t seem to be a thing for Kareena, or maybe she’s taking in all in her stride like a boss. Having given birth recently, Kareena seems to know how to balance her responsibilities and fun damn well. She’s been going out with Saif, friends and catching up with her besties, with no signs of being burnt out from motherhood. She was recently spotted in Pali Hill, having lunch with her sister Karisma Kapoor and bestie Malaika and Amrita Arora. Looking radiant as ever in a crimson dress, the shutterbugs spotted the ladies coming out from a popular restaurant and they posed happily too before zipping off together in their car.
4. Indian Mentality Embarrasses Me, Not My Sexuality: Karan Johar
Filmmaker Karan Johar is never going to say the three words you want to hear him say about his sexuality. But in his soon-to-be-released biography titled Unsuitable Boy, he does make it a point to say that his sexuality is his business, and his alone. In a published excerpt from the much-awaited book, he opens up about all the hate and judgement he’s got for his sexual orientation, but falls short of declaring it, simply because he could be jailed for doing so in India.
Everybody knows what my sexual orientation is. I don’t need to scream it out. If I need to spell it out, I won’t only because I live in a country where I could possibly be jailed for saying this. Which is why I Karan Johar, will not say the three words that possibly everybody knows about me.Karan Johar, Filmmaker (Excerpt from Unsuitable Boy)
