The trailer of Omung Kumar’s Sarbjit’s is finally out and it looks like this is going to be the most hard hitting film of the year. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda and Richa Chadha own their parts and we still have goosebumps from watching this small glimpse of what seems to be a very powerful story.

Aishwarya Rai is barely recognisable, which is what director Omung Kumar was hoping for. She even screams and yells with great character and authority. The gripping trailer tells the story of Dalbir Kaur’s struggle for her brother Sarabjit Singh’s release from a Pakistani prison cell, where he spent 18 years for being wrongfully convicted as an Indian spy.

All in all, Omung Kumar’s riveting drama has us wondering why Aishwarya Rai Bachchan didn’t make a comeback with this film, instead of Sanjay Gupta’s Jazbaa? Sarbjit releases on May 20th, 2016 and we just can’t wait.
