Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra have made it to Variety’s list of ‘influential business leaders shaping the global $2 trillion entertainment industry.’
Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra, Ekta Kapoor, Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani, Punit Goenka, Kishore Lulla, Uday Shankar and Subhash Chandra and Sidharth Roy Kapur have also been named in the list.
2. Bhansali’s Meeting With the Parliamentary Panel Was ‘Amicable’
Contrary to reports flying around about Sanjay Leela Bhansali being “grilled” and “interrogated” about Padmavati by the parliamentary committee (PC) in Delhi on Thursday, inside sources from the meeting say it was extremely fruitful, productive and amicable.
In fact, say sources, both the Padmavati team and the PC ended up working towards the same goal: To find a solution to the current imbroglio.
3. Virat Kohli Slays It with His Reply to Manushi Chhillar’s Question
The two Indians that are really excelling at representing India at a global level are Manushi Chhillar and Virat Kohli. Manushi, who was crowned Miss World 2017, and Kohli who is the face of Indian cricket, recently met at an event in Delhi, where the two exchanged some very encouraging words. 4. ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ to Release in India Before the US
Marvels Avengers: Infinity War, which features an ensemble of superheroes, will release in India a week before it opens in the US. The much-awaited movie will release in India on April 27, 2018. It will open in the US on May 4.
5. Listen: Divine & Nucleya’s ‘Mukkabaaz’ Performance In ‘Paintra’
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap released the first song from his film, Mukkabaaz. Paintra has been composed by Nucleya and features rapper Divine.
Mukkabaaz, which is a sports drama film, is based on the life of an aspiring boxer, Vineet Singh. The film follows the life of a low caste boxer who falls in love with the local don’s niece. Paintra, which also doubles up as the trailer of the film, showcases internal politics and also provides a peek into cow vigilantism.
Mukkabaaz is co-produced by Anand L Rai and will hit the screens on 12 January 2018.
