The Indian Olympic Association’s decision to make Salman Khan the goodwill brand ambassador for the Rio-bound Olympic contingent came in for a fair amount of backlash. But Salman’s father Salim Khan came to his son’s rescue.

In reply to Milkha Singh’s question as to why we need to “import a person from Bollywood” to be the brand ambassador, Salim tweeted saying that it was Bollywood which resurrected the legendary sprinter from fading away.
