Veteran film and television actor, Suresh Chatwal, passed away on Saturday after a prolonged illness.

Best known for his role as Commissioner Suraj Agnihotri in popular television series FIR, Chatwal made his acting debut in 1969 with Rakhi Rakhi and was last seen on the big screen in Nakshatra in 2010.

Chatwal is remembered for his phenomenal acting skills which he showcased in his multiple roles in both television and movies.

He was seen in Munnabhai MBBS, Karan Arjun and Om Shanti Om among others. While on TV, he was best known for his role in Nukkad and Adhalaat.

Fans and colleagues of the star expressed their grief on social media, remembering him fondly.
