1. ‘Sanju’ Poster: Ranbir Looks Freakishly Similar to Sanjay Dutt

Ranbir Kapoor is coming back to the big screen with Sanju, based on the life of actor Sanjay Dutt. While the film’s teaser has sent fans into a tizzy, director Raju Hirani has spiked our interest further by releasing a poster of the film where Ranbir looks freakishly like Sanjay Dutt.

In the poster, Ranbir sports Dutt as he looked when he was released from prison in 2016. Hirani would be sharing Ranbir’s other looks soon, so watch this space for more. Sanju releases on 29 June and is the first Bollywood authorised biopic on a living actor.

2. There’s Deadly Silence About State Sponsored Terrorism: Hansal

Hansal Mehta's Omerta tracks the story of Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh and the director says that through this film he wants to provoke a thought among people about state sponsored terrorism.

Sheikh, a British terrorist of Pakistan descent, was involved in the 9/11 terror attacks and killing of American journalist Daniel Pearl. He is currently in prison in Pakistan serving the life sentence.

“There are some standard emotions that a film leaves you with like happiness, sadness, this (film) would leave you angry. We live in a world where a villain like this exists and yet we are silent about it”.

3. Katrina Kaif’s Day Out With Sister Isabelle & Family

Katrina Kaif was spotted eating out with sister Isbabelle Kaif and mom Suzanne Turquotte at a restaurant in Bandra, Mumbai on Sunday. Katrina and Isabelle were dressed in summery casuals and the family seemed to have opted to have a healthy meal at one of Mumbai’s hip and happening eateries.

Katrina is currently working on two projects - Thugs of Hindostan and Zero with Aamir and Shah Rukh Khan respectively. She will also start on the third instalment of the Tiger series with Salman Khan soon.

4. No, Resul Pookutty Is Not Directing the ‘Premam’ Remake

Resul Pookutty won’t be directing the remake of the Malayalam film Premam, as is being reported by several media groups. It was reported that the Academy Award winning sound designer, editor and mixer will be making his debut as a director with the Hindi remake of the successful Nivin Pauly-starrer.

However, when contacted, Resul conveyed to The Quint that he is not directing the Premam remake - but he will be producing it. The Hindi version of Premam is being co-produced by Resul’s La Penta Motion Pictures and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.

5. Genelia, Riteish's 'Most Ambitious' Marathi Film Goes on Floors

Actress-producer Genelia Deshmukh is excited about the commencement of shooting of Marathi film Mauli, backed by her and husband Riteish Deshmukh.

"Our most ambitious Marathi film goes on floor. Mauli. Starring Riteish, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, written by Kshitij Patwardhan. Wish us luck," Genelia tweeted on Monday.

This will be Riteish's second Marathi project as an actor after his successful acting debut in Marathi cinema with Lai Bhaari. The action drama, Mauli, is produced by Genelia and Riteish's production venture - Mumbai Film Company.
