Superstar Rajinikanth, who has been running from pillar to post for his next project Kabali, has started shooting for the film in Bangkok. Rajinikanth, who essays the titular character Kabaleeswaran, completed the month long schedule in Malaysia recently and air-dashed to Bangkok shortly after.
The Bangkok schedule, where some crucial portions of his upcoming flick will be filmed, will be wrapped up within a week. The team is expected to return to Chennai in the first week of December. The makers will head to Goa next for the final leg of filming.
Directed by Pa. Ranjith of Madras fame and produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu under his V Creations banner, Kabali features an ensemble cast including Radhika Apte, Dhansika, Dinesh, Kalaiarasan, Mime Gopi and John Vijay in important roles. The music has been composed by the latest Kollywood sensation, Santhosh Narayanan. Kabali, which is reportedly based on a real-life story of a Chennai based gangster, is slated for a grand summer release in 2016.
