1. Shah Rukh Khan to Host Filmfare Awards

Rumour has it that 2016’s Filmfare awards, India’s biggest and most awaited awards night, will be hosted by none other than Shah Rukh Khan. The award ceremony will be held at NSCI (National Sports Club of India), Mumbai. This time, the awards night is open to public and tickets are up for sale, costing as high as Rs 40,000. We hear SRK has been roped in to host Bollywood’s big night and his good friend Salman Khan will be performing on stage too! So SRK fans have a chance to watch him live. And we already know that when SRK turns host, he’s at his wittiest best!

2. No Glam Show For Anushka in Sultan

Anushka Sharma, the leading lady of Salman Khan’s Sultan, will be seen in a very different avatar in the film. It’s an out and out non-glamorous role. Anushka will be playing a wrester and the actress will soon be going through intense physical training for three whole weeks, before she starts filming for this Salman starrer. Director Ali Abbas Zafar will also be making sure that she gets her Haryanvi accent just right. Going by the Anushka’s dedication, we have no doubt that she will ace this one.

3. Shraddha Nervous About Half Girlfriend

Shraddha Kapoor, who is playing the lead role in Mohit Suri’s Half Girlfriend, opposite Arjun Kapoor is feeling a bit nervous about the project.

I am excited as well as nervous for both Half Girlfriend and the film with Karan Johar. It’s a special year as I have four exciting films - Rock On 2, Baaghi, Half Girlfriend, (and) Karan Johar’s film . There is a sense of pressure. But there is lot of excitement.

4. Cast and Crew of Marathi Film Natsamrat Celebrate the Film’s Success

At a time when even popular Hindi films are having a tough time recovering their costs, the Nana Patekar starrer Natsamrat has turned out to be a money-spinner. Natsamrat, which translates to ‘king of theater’, stars Nana Patekar in the lead role and has been directed by Mahesh Manjrekar.

The film is the screen adaptation of the noted Marathi playwright Kusummagraj’s popular play by the same title. The film was received well by the critics as well as audiences at large. The entire cast and crew was present at the success party, which was held in Mumbai.

5. Fans and Twitter Mourn the Death of David Bowie

The iconic singer David Bowie passed away on Monday after battling cancer for 18 long months. A statement was issued via his official social media profiles, asking the public to respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief. Fans of the singer, as well as popular Indian artists and musicians took to Twitter to mourn the loss.
