1. Ex Sues Nawazuddin Siddiqui for Rs 2 Crore Over Memoir
His memoir, An Ordinary Life, is still bringing enough and more trouble to Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Even though he withdrew the book following a backlash from his ex-es including Miss Lovely actor Niharika Singh, Nawaz has now been sued by a former girlfriend, actor Sunita Rajwar.
Described in the book as his “first love”, Sunita has sent Nawaz a legal notice demanding a compensation of Rs 2 crore and unconditional apology for maligning her image.
2. CBFC Chief Prasoon Joshi Disowns Arjun Gupta’s Anti-Bhansali Rant
In what could be seen as a very significant statement on what the censor board feels regarding the protests against the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati, the CBFC chairperson has distanced himself from the shocking remarks by CBFC member, Arjun Gupta.
In a letter to the Home Minister, Gupta has asked for Bhansali be tried for “treason” for distorting history in his film, Padmavati. In a swift counter-move, CBFC chairperson, Prasoon Joshi has completely invalidated Arjun Gupta’s fiercely aggressive demand.

Padmavati director Sanjay Leela Bhansali should be tried for treason for distorting history, BJP member Arjun Gupta has urged in a letter addressed to Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
Gupta, who is the General Secretary of the Uttar Bharatiya Morcha, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), said something "disgusting" is being done in the pursuit of earning money and for boosting one's career.
