Known for his neo-noir cinema such as Pulp Fiction, Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight, filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has been given a star on one of the most famous streets in the world, the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Samuel L Jackson and the cast of his latest film, The Hateful Eight were there to cheer him on.

I was very very proud the day that I got mine and I’m sure that Quentin is extremely proud that he is getting his today. And I know what it means to him because of what he thinks and how he reveres this business and the art of film-making. There aren’t a lot people in this business who still look at film-making the way Quentin does.

Large crowds filled with Tarantino fans gathered at the ceremony, just to get a glimpse of their favourite director.

The star was awarded to him by the president of Hollywood’s Chamber of Commerce and CEO Leron Gubler.
