The on-screen chemistry of Han Solo and Princess Leia extended off-screen as well, Carrie Fisher revealed in November earlier this year.

Fisher passed away on 27 December due to cardiac arrest. She was 60.

Star Wars actor Fisher, who played Leia, had said that her affair with co-star Harrison Ford, who played Han Solo, during the filming of the 1977 blockbuster went on for three months.

It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend.

She said the romance ended when shooting on the film did.

Fisher was only a 19-year-old when she landed the role of Princess Leia and Ford was a 33-year-old married man.

In her new book The Princess Diarist, she wrote about the “intense” fling from 33 years back that started after a birthday bash for director George Lucas. She said that she had given Ford a heads-up about the book – and he had received a draft, too.

Soon after she revealed about her affair, Twitterati expressed a vast range of emotions from everybody-knew-it-Carrie to shock.
