PM Modi Won’t Be Jamming With Coldplay, But The Show Will Go On

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was to attend The Global Citizen’s Coldplay concert in Mumbai today. But he has reportedly turned down the guest invite and will not be at the event in person. He will however address the gathering via video conference.

The Quint has confirmed this development with the PR company managing the mammoth event. They have also denied rumours of any performances being cancelled as a result of this. The show will go on as planned, but without the PM.

An close insider with backstage access has also confirmed that PM Modi will be connecting with the audience via video conference, and that no artist has dropped out or cancelled his/her performance, including the headlining British band Coldplay, as a result of this change.
