It looks like Aamir Khan is at the receiving end after his controversial comment on AIB Roast. After comedian Russell Peters, who asked him to “shut up”, it’s Pooja Bhatt’s turn, who called him frightening and injurious.
Actor turned filmmaker Pooja is furious with PK star for his statement on AIB Roast video.
In an interview Pooja said, “I feel it’s hypocritical self-styled moralists and the Aamir Khans of the world, who are more frightening and injurious. I am appalled at his sudden self-righteous mode.”
The statement was made in reference to the Bhaag DK Bose song from Delhi Belly, a film he produced, and also to the poster of his recent film PK in which he bares. “He has completely forgotten his body of work — the double meaning song Bhaag DK Bose — in Delhi Belly, and the PK poster where he left nothing to the imagination, putting Sunny Leone to shame!” says the 41-year-old, who starred alongside him in the popular rom-com Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi 25 years ago.
Alia Bhatt’s half-sister, Pooja recalls a case of obscenity that was filed against 13 actors in 1999. “In 1999, 13 actors including me were dragged to the court for cases of obscenity. We took it head on. I might have kissed on screen but we never did double meaning songs. I appeared in the court and the very next day, went to receive the National Award for the best film on social issues for Tamanna. Look at the hypocrisy of our people!”
